Episode: First Fine Family Festival

So the first family day came and went.
It was so snowy and blustery that there was not as much travelling around out on the roads but we still managed to get together with mom and dad and Megan and her friends Shelley, Mike and Andy for a funny dinner.

I had a scrapbooking filled weekend in between "spring" cleaning around the homestead...

Here is one LO that shows the lights of our lives - Tierney, Gabby and Rui (in no particular order 'cause that would be wrong of course! Who could pick just one?!)



This was from Toops birthday extravaganza at the Waterloo Childrens Museum which was back in January - the kids were all dancing to Crazy Frog tunes waiting for the other kids to arrive - it was so cute that it just had to be appropriately Memorexed. Well, Canon'ed I guess in this case.

Allie and Mary are coming to see us this weekend and we are pumped about it - and Gram will be here as well! Can't wait!

We booked our Sauble cottage - but are just waiting for confirmation on that one. Laura and Cam are still not sure that they can come with us - but we are still hoping!

Episode: Harry Potter meets Scrappin' Kathy

Back in the day, Megan decided to decorate her bedroom a la Harry Potter. The idea was to use Hogwarts colours and put Harry Potter books etc on display. The room was painted accordingly (including a maroon ceiling !!) and voila the "The Harry Potter Room" as it is known was created. Fast forward a few years...Megan now lives in her newly (for the second time) designed room in the basement. The "HPR" was relegated to a spare room, storage room, video games room. One of the items in storage there was all the scrapbooking stuff being acquired by Kathy...After a long day of purging (3 garbage bags later... the new Scrappin' Kathy Room is unveiled. What a relief..I can now crop till my hearts content and actually find all the stuff I have. Feast your eyes

Dave (yes I said Dave) Kim, Clarissa and Gabby braved terrible road conditions, and Gabby's not-quite-feeling-great-ness to head to the Air Canada Centre to see this wicked concert!

I know it will be a day to remember for a long time. We all had so much fun and were thrilled that Clarissa was able to join us. Rui couldn't make it - he had a date with Nanny to go and see The Bee Movie starring Jerry Seinfeld. All in all - an amazing day...

One PMSer is on the move and two more recognized for outstanding achievements !!!
Dave will be joining the management team of the Ostic Group in January...congratulations Dave ! Cam was named an Employee of the Year by his peers@Punch and received a sizable bonus for that achievement ...congratulations Cam ! Megan was named Team Member of the Month for Kinkos and she received a sizable bonus and very kind words from her manager and her HR administrator...congratuations, Megan..Super news as we head into a new year - best of luck in future endeavours !

After much drama and excitement, Megan is officially a car owner with all the "bells and whistles". Hope you enjoy your new wheels, Megan ! For those car buffs out there, this is a 2005 Chevy Cobalt.. for the non-car buffs this is a real cute ride with a sun roof and pimpin' mp3 stereo !

Episode: Kim gets a new job!

So I am staying at the same company - that I have been at for the last (almost) 8 years but I am moving from the Broker Sales department to the Marketing and Communications team as the new "Individual Insurance Marketing Specialist".

Super pumped! I love working with this group and for such a cool company! Now how many people get to do a creative job at an insurance company? No seriously, it's a question, how many?

I DO!!!
Plus I get to eat lunch with Laura at least once or twice a week which is usually a bonus when she is funny and has not just had her wisdom teeth out (like she did today).
I hear the soup is good...

Please examine this purse... Notice all the articles needed for viewing an Oktoberfest Thanksgiving parade are in here. Donations, camera, snacks, money for the firefighters, money for flashing buttons, etc. etc. The only thing this well organized miss forgot was to go potty BEFORE going to the parade ! Oh well you didn't miss much !

Thanks for Thanksgiving

We had another great Thanksgiving with so much to be thankful for...we had family with us from Barrie, Gram, Greg, Ali and Mary and good old Gus. A great dinner and then on Monday a Great Parade. We are blessed !
